"I spent a week with five good friends and my two sons at the Nushagak River Lodge in Alaska fishing and relaxing. Two of my friends have fished in 7 different locations in Alaska and I relied on them to make reservations for what I hoped to be a once in a lifetime experience fishing in Alaska. The experience was beyond my expectations. The accommodations and the food at the lodge were exceptional. Rick and Nelda were charming hosts. If I had known how good the fishing would be, I would have made this trip years ago. It was a blast watching my two sons catching silvers non stop. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Along with 7 other friends, I had the pleasure of fishing with Rick Murphy at the Nushagak River Fishing Lodge last year for Silvers. We all had a GREAT time and everything Rick promised was true ! We caught a LOT of fish every
day, the food was excellent as was the lodging. And on top of all that, the help did more than you could expect in seeing everyone was enjoying themselves. We are heading back next year and hope to make this an annual trip!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Alaskan River fishing Lodge. Our party came all the way from Italy for this experience, and we are glad that we made the trip. The lodge is ideally located on a grassy bank of the Nushagak River, a few hundred yards above the mouth of the Alaskan River Fishing. Such location provides a broad range of excellent fishing opportunities, both in the Nushagak as well as from the banks or in nearby passages and pockets of the river. The accommodations are modern and very comfortable wood cabins, offering spacious and private quarters. They are perfect for relaxing after a long day of fishing. The Alaskan River Fishing is family run, and the pride of ownership and attention to detail that the owners dedicate to the lodge shows in every aspect of the stay - from their expertise and knowledge of the best fishing spots along the river, to the generous and tasty meals served, and the overall graciousness and kindness of the staff. The fishing is excellent, as the river teems with salmon that come up from Bristol Bay in frequent runs. We caught enough fish to last us a year! We enjoyed it so much that we will certianly return."

Hi Rick,
Like I mentioned before, our trip to your Lodge was a fantastic experience.
Especially the trip up the shallow creek where we caught all those beautiful
rainbows. Without a doubt, it was the best fishing day of my entire life.
How much better can it get? Catching all those fish and eating hot dogs
cooked over a fire on the edge of the river. An experience that is etched
in my mind forever.
You and your associates did everything you promised. Good accommodations,
great food and a fantastic fishing experience. The only complaint I have is
the trip ruined my California fishing. Never will I catch fish here in
Sacramento like I caught in Alaska.
Thank you again for your hospitality. I sincerely hope your business
thrives and you realize all your dreams. You certainly deserve it. I don't
think I have ever seen anyone work as hard as you. You definitely make sure
your clients have a great Alaskan experience.

"I have been around the world twice and have visited 47 countries and Alaskan River Fishing Lodge is one of my favorite places to visit. Hosts Rick and Nelda are outstanding personalities and Nelda is a wonderful cook. The cabins provide execellent lodging for the Alaskan wilderness. The fishing guides are in a class by themselves. With catch and release, a person can catch more kings and silvers in four to five days than most ever catch in a lifetime. If you enjoy the great outdoors, Alaskan River Fishing Lodge is a terrific place to visit to escape from the real world."

Staying at Kokwok Lodge was an awesome exprience. Like staying with family. Truly it was the Alaskan Adventure. Rick not only delivered what he promised he execeeded it! It was a fly fishermen's paradise. I talked to other fly fishermen who went to more expensive lodges- they didn't catch as many fish and paid more. Rick knew right where to put us on the Nushagak River as well as smaller creeks nearby. I caught more fish in 1 week than in my whole life. Nelda's cooking was execellent and the cabins were very clean and comfortable. Not only is Kokwok Lodge the place to be, its the place to come back to, again and again. The best part of the trip was being able to do what I wanted when I wanted I slept in until 9:30am and started fishing at 10:30am. Which really felt good then I got up and caught a bunch of kings.
